Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, who was raised in a loving family and was supported by his parents. He is the eldest of three sons born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her divine grace to her son at an early age.
The LoveWorld ministry is comprised of the entire family. Reverend Ken is Ken's older brother and member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren (KattyWorghiren) is the director at the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry. This ministry has many gospel artists who are top-selling globally.
Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon has chosen to follow her father's example of sharing the gospel of God with the world, also known as CSO, she is a gifted, award-winning gospel singer and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies in Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he earned a BSc degree in Architecture, and an honorary Doctor of Science. He holds an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was his first university. He received a call from God to be a minister and to serve the Lord.

Pastor Chris led the LoveWorld ministry to become a pioneer in satellite TV and Christian production and programming on television. Chris Oyakhilome Family LOVEWORLDSAT was first Christian television station that broadcast out of Africa all day long on free-to-air channels. Today, LoveWorld stations can be found on satellite and cable television networks across the globe.
Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria. The church has two Healing Schools, based in South Africa and Canada, in which Pastor Chris holds seasonal sessions where miracles are performed.

As well as preaching the Gospel, the Man of God has also established a number of NGOs with the goals of providing essential assistance and hope to poor, needy and lost souls. COFI has five partners that are all dedicated to raising the standard of living in the areas that are the least developed.
Under the auspices of COFI is COFI's InnerCity Mission (ICM) for Children The Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) as well as the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organisations strives to improve well-being, health and spirits of those who are most vulnerable.
